Lab Course: Sensor Data Fusion - Smartphones as sensor node for small UAS
Modern smartphones are usually equipped with a complete sensor suite. The aim in this course will be to integrate an Android device into an Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) and use the camera, GPS and acceleration sensors to track and follow a person with the UAS. Modern algorithms from computer vision and sensor data fusion will be used. Additionally, the students will learn how to develop applications using the Android.SDK. The students can work in small groups. The necessary hardware will be provided for experiments.
