Master Seminars and Labs

Registration for

- regular seminars and labs during the forthcoming Summer Term (information see below)

Important notes:

  • This registration is for organizational purposes and helps us to offer you the most appropriate seminar and/or lab topic. It does NOT replace the BASIS registration!

  • The block course Firmware Bootcamp is part of the Bachelor program. For master students the module consists of a lab and a seminar that are graded independently. Bachelor students will be given preferential consideration.

  • Registering for an IPEC lab or seminar course using the registration form for seminars and labs is not offered anymore. Doing an IPEC seminar or lab is only possible after personal agreement with the supervising research assistant.

 

Our seminars and practical courses (labs) for Master curriculum are:

Winter Term

  • A seminar during the lecture period (kickoff meeting at the beginning of October, seminar talks en bloc in January presumably).

  • Module numbers, depending on chosen topic:
    MA-INF 3209: Selected Topics in Communication Management
    or
    MA-INF 3317: Selected Topics in IT Security


  • A lab during the winter term (start at the beginning of October).
    Module numbers, depending on chosen topic:
    MA-INF 3229: Lab IT Security
    or
    MA-INF 3304: Lab Communication and Communicating Devices.

  • Our IPEC lab ("Turbo-Lab") during the term break before the summer term (about four weeks full-time in March).
    Module number MA-INF 3229 or MA-INF 3304, depending on chosen topics.

    Registering for an IPEC lab or seminar course using the registration form for seminars and labs is not offered anymore. Doing an IPEC seminar or lab is only possible after personal agreement with the supervising research assistant.

Summer Term

Your participation in the seminar, lab or Turbo-Lab is only possible if you have successfully passed an examination (Master Level) with professor Martini, professor Meier, or professor Smith. 
Students of the current lectures should already register now even if the examination is still pending. Of course, you should make sure to pass the examination in order to be able to meet the requirements at the beginning of the lab or seminar. Please note that you may attend the Turbo-Lab only if you have passed the examination beforehand.
